Sunset Boulevard

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster - Gift shop bracelet

in Sunset Boulevard posted 5/5/13

In the gift shop at the exit, a female mannequin wears a black wrist bracelet that says "I love Mickey."

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster - Cosmic Car Show poster HM

in Sunset Boulevard posted 2/24/13

Stay alert along the inside entrance queue for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster. On the last wall before you enter the lower level of the pre-show video room, a poster labeled "Cosmic Car Show" has a tiny classic Mickey on the bottom right under the front tire of the car. The Mickey image is at the end of the signature of "J. Mouse."

Tower of Terror - Mickey Doll # 2

in Sunset Boulevard posted 1/19/07

At the first stop on the ride, the little girl is still holding her Mickey Mouse doll in the ghostly images.

Tower of Terror - Video Mickey on the ride

in Sunset Boulevard posted 1/12/06

Just to add to a previous submission: Somebody wrote in that the little girl in the movie is holding a mickey doll. She is indeed holding one, and it is my understanding that this type of doll was not even on the market in 1939 when the movie takes place. She is also holding the doll later in the holographic like images that are on both sides of the elevator as it moves forward towards the drop shaft. Thanks!

Tower of Terror - 13th Story Mickey

in Sunset Boulevard posted 10/13/05

This is a mickey that is impossible to capture on film! For all the people out there brave enough to ride the Tower of Terror at Disney-MGM Studios, pay attention to the stars at the end of the track, just before the doors open up. They come together and reveal a PERFECT classic hidden mickey. I have seen this twice and there is not a doubt in my mind that it's an intentional hidden mickey. It's my hidden mickey and claim to fame, and I would love it to be validated by someone who knows a lot more than me about hidden mickeys. The hidden mickey mentioned here only appears on the lift at the right hand side, and it is only for a split second - definitely the best hidden mickey I saw! (Lynne Reilly)

Tower of Terror - Gauges in Ride Photo Area

in Sunset Boulevard posted 1/12/07

If you stick your head into the windowish thing under the screens with the pictures on them as you leave the ride, it's to the left.

Tower of Terror - in the basement tiles

in Sunset Boulevard posted 7/9/06

Look behind the left counter after you pick up your photos..ask a cast member if you have trouble. [From Rob Croskery: The tiles are similar. They are "hidden" because they are behind a counter and in dim light. They are "roundish", as the tiles are roundish. They are clearly set apart and deliberate. The artist was limited by the forum - that is, because it was a tile floor pattern of all the same size tiles, the Mickey is not proportionate. However, I think that lack is more than made up for by the strength and presence of the other factors. Moreover, the Disney Cast members call it a "Hidden Mickey." It has the proper "pop" or "wow factor" of delight when you see it. The pattern is a complete distinct 3-tile pattern. Many of the other submissions for hidden mickeys are of voluminous patterns (bubbles, grapes, etc) where the supposed Hidden Mickey is associated with many similar shapes that are nearby. Unless it is a "perfect" hidden Mickey, these submissions always give rise to the question of whether it is intentional or a mere coincidence attendant to a complicated tapestry. Here, there are three - and only three - distinctive tiles, right together, leaving no doubt that the act was intentional.]

Sidewalk Impressions

in Sunset Boulevard posted 5/5/05

On both sides of Sunset Boulevard near its intersection with Hollywood Boulevard, you'll find small impressions in the cement sidewalks, near the curb. They read, "Mortimer & Co, 1928 Contractors." Mortimer Mouse was Mickey Mouse's first (and soon discarded) name; 1928 was the year Mickey was "born."

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster - Entrance Carpet

in Sunset Boulevard posted 3/6/06

Along the entrance queue, when you reach the inner room past the tile floor, look down for distorted classic Mickeys in the carpet.
